About GO EAST
Founded in Tel Aviv, run from our own offices in Tokyo, Hanoi, Delhi and Manila.
GO EAST plans tailor-made travel across the East. Every trip is written by a named consultant in Tel Aviv and run by our own people in the destination, which is the part most companies outsource and we do not.
How a trip actually works
You tell us roughly what you want. A consultant writes you a plan with real hotels, real timings and real prices, free and with nothing committed. You argue with it, we change it, and we keep changing it until it is right. At departure we open a WhatsApp group with your consultant and the local representatives at the destination, and it stays open until you are home.
Specialists, not generalists
Nobody here sells the whole world. Each consultant owns a small number of countries and knows them properly, and most of the team are graduates of East Asian studies programmes at Israeli universities. When you ask about Japan you are talking to someone who has been to every corner of it, and when you ask about Korea you are talking to the person who owns Korea.
Why we say the unhelpful thing
Every one of our guides has a section on what we would skip. A famous sight that eats a day and gives back an hour is worth saying out loud, and a company that never tells you that is selling, not advising. Trust is the product.
